Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Combine in a medium sized bowl with a handheld mixer the butter, oil, and both kinds of sugars.
Beat in the eggs one at a time until creamy and combined.
Combine your baking soda, baking powder, salt, vanilla, and flour into the bowl and mix on low until fully combined.
Using a rubber spatula, fold in the chocolate chips.
Once everything is combined, use a one tablespoon cookie scoop and scoop balls onto a baking tray with parchment paper on top.
Stick the cookie scoops into the oven and bake for 7-8 minutes until just barely golden brown on the outside.
